Continuing BNSF’s support for our armed forces, over 400 military service men, women, and their families came aboard our vintage rail cars for the “BNSF Holiday Express.”  With the assistance of Operation Provide Care and Comfort, the BNSF team hosted airmen, soldiers, sailors, marines, and U.S. Coast Guardsmen from the San Francisco Bay Area (Travis Air Force Base, U.S. Coast Guard Station Alameda, local armories and Moffett Air Nation Guard Base).

BNSF Richmond Terminal employees and families volunteered for this trip, warmly welcoming those who serve our country and providing them with a festive celebration to kick off the holiday season. And as part of the event, BNSF donated $10,000 to Operation Provide Care and Comfort, which offers ongoing support for those who currently serve and have served our country.

Colonel Taft Aujero, Commander, 129th Rescue Wing, California Air National Guard  noted, “BNSF was outstanding in their performance, and their gratitude for military personnel was clearly evident. As a train conductor, I am proud to be associated with such a great company that shares common values with the military.”

On behalf of all of us at BNSF, we wish you and your family happy holidays and all the best for 2020.
